AI ML Reconciliation

Terms Of Use – Backbone4 Service.

By checking the “I Agree” box and using the Backbone4 platform (“the Service”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms:

Backbone4 is a software platform that uses automated processes, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies to assist accounting offices with internal workflows, including but not limited to data organization, analysis, matching, reconciliation, classification, and reporting. The Service operates solely on data that is locally provided, uploaded, or maintained by the accounting office or its authorized users. Backbone4 does not retrieve, import, or rely on third-party data sources.

The Service does not perform automatic postings, updates, or write-backs to any accounting, ERP, bookkeeping, or financial system. Any data, recommendation, match, classification, calculation, or output generated by the Service must be reviewed and explicitly approved by an authorized officer or employee of the accounting office before being exported, posted, or applied to any external system.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While Backbone4 makes commercially reasonable efforts to provide accurate and consistent results, you acknowledge and agree that the Service relies on local data, user configuration, historical records, and probabilistic algorithms. As a result, outputs generated by the Service may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or incomplete information.

Backbone4 does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or suitability of any output, recommendation, match, classification, calculation, or report produced by the Service. All outputs are provided strictly as decision-support tools and do not replace professional judgment, human review, or accounting, legal, tax, or financial advice.

You acknowledge and agree that full responsibility for reviewing, validating, approving, and authorizing any data prior to its use, export, or posting into an ERP or accounting system rests solely with the accounting office and its authorized personnel.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Backbone4, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to financial loss, incorrect postings, reporting errors, regulatory exposure, penalties, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the use of, or reliance on, the Service or its outputs.

Backbone4 does not assume responsibility for actions taken or decisions made based on the Service’s outputs. Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.

You acknowledge that the Service may be modified, updated, enhanced, or adjusted over time, including changes to algorithms, logic, or functionality, without prior notice.

Backbone4 reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service at any time for operational, security, legal, or business reasons.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent, and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
